PRINCIPALS MESSAGE
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart
from it. (Proverbs 22:6). Being the principal of St.Alphonsa Convent School -
Abohar, my primary objective will be making this Biblical proverb meaningful in all
aspects. Achieving this in its true spirit is not an easy task in the present social
scenario. But I am fully confident that this is not an impossible task as I am heading a
team of dedicated staff community who always work in full co-ordination with the
management.
Education is not an act of acquiring knowledge alone but learning a skill to lead life and
forming ones personality. This is an ennobling process of growth. I can boldly say
that we have excelled in every initiative that we undertook and we have stood together in
facing the challenges in realizing quality education. I feel happy when the bright and
talented students perform remarkably well. However what makes me happier is when a weak
student progresses steadily from poor performance to better performance, moving towards
excellence.
The biggest challenge faced by the educators of today is to prepare students for the
challenges of a globalised world. Students of today face a world that continually demands
new knowledge and abilities; a world that requires the students to become adaptable,
life-long learners in an ever-changing scenario of new skills and competencies. They also
need to be good communicators, be able to relate well with other people and to think
critically and creatively. St. Alphonsa Convent School committed towards imparting these
skills. Students not only learn, but they learn how to learn, not just in school but
beyond as well.
We want every student to be nurtured into strong, reflective and responsive individuals
who are confident and adaptable in meeting the challenges and opportunities of this
rapidly changing world.
