St. Alphonsa Convent School, Abohar is a Secular Co-educational Institution founded by Mr.Jijoe Augustian and Mrs.Rejimol Jijoe in a rented building near Patel Park, Abohar in the year 2009.  It was inaugurated by Rt.Rev.Dr.Anil Jose Thomas Couto, the then Bishop of Jalandhar Diocese on 19^th March 2009. School started flourishing under a team of dedicated teachers led by Mr. Jijoe Augustine (Principal) and Mrs. Rejimol Jijoe (Vice Principal). It  has come a long way from its humble beginning to a being an icon of academic excellence in this city.  What has remained constant throughout these years is our zest and spirit to encourage and motivate.

 The school was shifted to another rented building at street No.6 in Model Town, Abohar in March 2011.  The inauguration of this premises also done by Rt.Rev.Dr.Anil Jose Thomas Couto, the then Bishop of Jalandhar Diocese.

In the year 2016 the school was shifted to its own lush green premises at Sito Road, Abohar since then grew year by year .Now we have an amalgam of students from all backgrounds culturally and socially. Ours is  a vibrant, thriving and diverse community of children, parents and educators united with an ardent desire to blossom and manifest the latent potential of its scholars.

 The sudden unexpected demise of Mrs Rejimol Jijoe , The Co founder and Vice Principal of the School on 11^th July 2021 is a painful and heart wrenching chapter in the school’s history. Her vision and dreams still guide  and motivate us everyday.

Mrs. Asha  Jijoe took charge as the Vice principal on 16^TH March 2022.
